War Horse London
The War Horse is the extraordinary story of a horse named Joey. He belongs to young Albert who loves him dearly but is separated from his stallion at the outbreak of WWI. Joey is sold to the cavalry and sent to France to serve in the war. In an extraordinary sequence of events, Joey ends up serving for both the warring armies and is eventually taken into no man’s land. Young Albert however cannot forget his friend and sets out to do the impossible, find Joey and bring him back home safe.
The War Horse is the ultimate culmination of puppetry, scenic artistry, acting, music and choreography which conjure up living, breathing horses out of carved wood, gauze and leather. Not only will you be awe struck by the skill of the performers and the reality of the horses but you will be shaken by the extremes of emotion, the rotting aftermath of war and heartwarming music.
Warhorse has been successful because of the amazing animals roaming on the stage and the birds flying around, all masterpieces of human ingenuity. Toby Sedgwick is the Director and pulls off this fabulous production with the collaborative expertise of Marianne Elliot and Tom Morris. The haunting music of Warhorse is given by Adrian Sutton assisted by John Tams.
War Horse will leave you astonished, moved and tearful but in the end, wanting more. Do not miss the most enthralling production of London Theatre, The War Horse.
